Evelyn Xiao-Yue Gong's main research lies in artificial intelligence for supply chain and sustainability. She is also interested in assortment optimization, pure exploration, algorithms, and data-driven decision making in general.
Gong completed her Ph.D. at the Operations Research Center at MIT, advised by Professor David Simchi-Levi and Professor Jim Orlin.
During her Ph.D., she spent some summers in the industry, including at Google Research, Microsoft Research AI, HelloFresh, and D.E. Shaw.
